An adventure is an activity that is comprised of risky or uncertain experiences that are undertaken at least in part for the sake of physical or emotional excitement. The term is more popularly used in reference to physical activities that have some potential for danger, such as orienteering, skydiving, mountain climbing, and extreme sports.

biking san francisco

One of the regular sunny Sunday in a swim pool with Lawrence, Steve and Cecil; I discussed the possibility to Bike around San Francisco; never though this would be one of the trip of lifetime. And next Sunday there we were; Lawrence had to drop of for a reason; Steve came down to my place in the morning, I put my bike at the back of my Prius and drove to Oakland; picked up Cecil and parked my car at a 45 degree tilt of sfo road, close to Embarcadero ferry building.
Steve and Celio rented the Bike while i fixed mine and on our way around 9:30; the day was beautiful; windy, light drizzle and on and off Sun, on demand; trying to condition the temperature for us.
We started from Ferry building; off to Fisherman Wharf; over Golden Gate; in and aorund Sausalito; all the way to Tiburon. In all it was a 16 mile ride; full of fun; beauty and adventure. Up and down the hill; tiring and relaxing at the same time.
I have been to san francisco like a million times; but never saw the beautiful city this way. It has so much that i can spend my entire life, exploring new places every day and still die with a regret of missing 90% of whats in there. No wonder; i might never ever leave bay area.
Well finally we reached Tiburon at 3 pm, hungry and tired; had a sandwich and Chili soup at a local Deli and took the Ferry back to the Ferry Building on Embarcadero. In this beautiful weather we were on a high and decided to map Golden Gate again before the sunset. Well we did reach the base of the Golden Gate but Cecil gave up (to be honest, i wasn't sure if I wanted to do it either.) and we decided to call it a day. Went back to the car and loaded my bike; stopped at China Town for a hot dinner and back home around 8 pm.
Now a days I've been biking around the beautiful trails of Foster City and Redwood shores, all the way to Burlingame and South San Francisco. Am not sure if I can go to San Francisco from here via Brisbane; i'll try it sometime over the weekend.
